For Schools that have registered, Firebird Poetry will award ANNUAL PRIZES of:
            £100 to the school which is the most active in submitting pupils poetry
            3 prizes of £50 to writers of poems selected by the Judges in the age group 5-11
            3 prizes of £50 to writers of poems selected by the Judges in the age group 12-16
For Poetry submitted direct by young people, Firebird will make the following annual awards:
            3 prizes of £50 to writers of poems selected by the Judges in the age group 5-11
            3 prizes of £50 to writers of poems selected by the Judges in the age group 12-16 SUBMISSIONS SHOULD BE RECEIVED BY 31st December 2011 AND WINNERS WILL BE NOTIFIED BY 31st May 2012.

TERMS & CONDITIONS In submitting your poetry, you confirm that it is original and entirely your own work and that there has been no infringement of any existing copyright. In submitting your poetry you indemnify Young Firebird Poetry, its Directors & Officers, who accept your declaration in Good Faith, against any claims under Copyright Protection. Any poetry that is subject to questions of authenticity will be immediately removed by the Editor. Firebird Poetry reserves the right to remove any poetry that is offensive, racist or contravenes general accepted norms of taste and decency. The removal of poetry will be exceptional but Firebird Poetry wishes to publish work from all age groups and will not accept material deemed to be offensive to the general public. Employees (or members of the families or households of employees) of Firebird Poetry or any company involved in the Competition or any advertising agency or web company connected with the Competition or any such person’s subsidiary or associated companies, are not eligible to enter the Competition

All uploaded poems will be eligible for succeeding awards.
